Actor's wife due to give birth in spring

John Thomson married Sam Sharp in 2005

Coronation Street star John Thomson and his wife Sam Sharp are expecting their second child.

The baby was conceived naturally following three unsuccessful IVF attempts.

Sam is due to give birth in the spring.

‘The Thomson family are overjoyed - Sam is three months pregnant after three failed IVF treatments,' says his rep.

John, 40, who plays Jesse Chadwick in the ITV1 soap, and Sam are already parents to Olivia, 6.
