Wednesday, 30 September 2009
Hugh Jackman's new Broadway play was interrupted when an audience member's phone went off.
The actor, who stars alongside Daniel Craig in A Steady Rain, stayed in character as he responded to the culprit.
'We can wait,' he told the crowd at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. ‘Don't be embarrassed - just grab it...
‘Come on, just turn it off. Unless you've got a better story. You want to get up and tell your stories?'
In the play, Hugh, 40, and Daniel, 41, play Chicago policemen whose friendship is tested by a personal tragedy.
