Pamela Anderson has set the record straight

Pamela Anderson has rubbished reports she's got money troubles.

The Baywatch star allegedly owes nearly $1million to various building companies after having extensive renovations done on her Malibu beach house last year.

Long-term friend Caitlin Ross also claims Pamela, 42, has spent millions on her partying lifestyle.

'When you're a superstar like Pam, you think the money will never stop,' she exclusively tells Now's Chris White.

‘Pam hardly ever checked her bank account, she just assumed it was a never-ending reservoir, and she spent like it was.'

But now Pamela has issued a statement.

‘I'm financially secure,' it reads. ‘It is true that I am in a dispute with some of the contractors working on my home.

'This is because after paying millions of dollars to build the house I continue to get bills from the contractors.

‘My lawyers are reviewing the work done to see if the bills are fair. If they are, they'll be paid. If they aren't, they won't be.'

Pamela also allegedly owes over $252,000 in taxes.

‘On a separate issue, mistakes may have been made in calculating taxes owed,' reads the statement to People.

‘We are now in the process of ensuring that any taxes owed are paid.'
