American actress Ayda Field won't become Mrs Robbie Williams - despite the fact she's madly in love with him.

A source close to the couple says: ‘Ayda loves Rob with all her heart and would do anything for him apart from walk down the aisle.

'The topic of marriage cropped up in their first few months together, which is a huge leap on Rob's part - he finally realised he'd met "the one".

'He'd love a wedding. It really would make his life complete after all the madness that's surrounded him.

‘But Ayda's seen her mother divorced twice and is all too aware of the pain it's caused. She doesn't want to end up going the same route.

'Her parents split up when she 
was very young and her dad now lives in Turkey. That's why she uses the surname Field - her mother's maiden name - instead of her birth name Evecan.'

Before meeting Robbie in January 2007, Ayda, 30, was a bit-part actress whose biggest claim to fame was a small part in Will And Grace.

She's been happy spending time with Robbie at his LA mansion and has even joined in with his alien obsession.

Last week, she accompanied him for late night sky-watching trips near his £6 million home in Wiltshire, where he's based while promoting his new album Reality Killed The Video Star, set for release on 9 November.

The couple are also excitedly planning to have children, with Robbie, 35, admitting two weeks ago: ‘That's definitely on the agenda - little monkeys running around. It's about time. I've had a good innings.'

Ayda's spokesman declined to comment.
