Salt baths and vinegar drinks help Posh get even thinner in a bid to fit in with the fashion set
Wednesday, 30 September 2009
At a private party thrown by Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman at London restaurant Le Caprice, Victoria Beckham looked scarily gaunt and her bones were visibly showing on her arms.
Posh, 35, came out in defence of her body last week, saying: ‘I have a healthy diet, a healthy lifestyle and plenty of energy to run after my three energetic young boys and travel the world managing my fashion business.'
Yet Now can reveal that she isn't only proud to show off her ‘skin and bones' look, but loses up to 7lb before fashion events with a new slimming trick: the ‘salt and vinegar diet'.
Our source says: ‘The regime is based around having a bath with Epsom salts the evening before a big party.
'It's commonly used by models to ease bloating. Like any woman, Victoria's plagued with water retention at times. This really works because it draws out any excess water from your body.
‘She claims you can lose up to 5lb overnight by having an Epsom salts bath. Then she adds three spoonfuls of apple cider vinegar to a litre bottle of still water and sips it through the day. This speeds up her metabolism
and boosts her energy levels.'
