Louis Walsh: I told Brian McFadden not to marry Kerry Katona

The X Factor judge says they were too young

Louis Walsh is a judge on The X Factor alongside Simon Cowell, Dannnii Minogue and Cheryl Cole

Louis Walsh has revealed he warned Brian McFadden not to wed Kerry Katona.

The X Factor judge manages boyband Westlife, of which Brian was a member from 1998 to 2004.

‘When Brian and Kerry announced that they were getting married I told him not to do it,' he says.

‘They were far too young to have ever gotten married, we could all see that but there was no telling him.'

Louis did like Kerry, but thought the couple weren't well suited.

'I had great time for Kerry, they just should have never married and didn't match well together,' he adds.

'Brian is a loose cannon and always has been, he will do what he wants at the end of the day.'

Brian and Kerry, both 29, divorced in 2006 and he's now engaged to singer Delta Goodrem, 24.

‘The one thing that Brian has going for him is Delta,' Louis tells the Evening Herald.

‘She is such an incredible and talented girl and he is very lucky to have her in his life.'
