Strictly Come Dancing judge defends herself
Tuesday, 22 September 2009
Alesha Dixon has responded to critics who have slated her performance on Strictly Come Dancing.
The singer, who won the competition with Matthew Cutler in 2007, thinks the outcry over her judging credentials is ‘a storm in a teacup'.
'People forget I had four months of solid training with the world champion, ten hours a day,' she told Claudia Winkleman on It Takes Two.
‘It's not like I have just been picked off the street to go and judge a little dancing show.
‘I think it's important to remember that I do know what I'm talking about.'
Alesha, 30, has replaced Arlene Phillips, 65, on the show.
