Star could take family under his wing
Friday, 18 September 2009
Elton John may be allowed to help bring up a Ukrainian boy he said he'd like to adopt.
The singer and civil partner David Furnish were told they couldn't adopt under the country's law.
But there may be a way for the couple to play a part in 14-month-old Lev’s life.
‘[Sir Elton] has the right and opportunity to invite the family of this boy to visit him, take them under his guardianship, and help him grow into a good person,’ Ukraine's family minister Yuri Pavlenko tells the Daily Mail.
