Katherine Jackson to receive $1m a year from Jacko estate

Court papers made public in LA

Michael Jackson wanted Katherine Jackson to care for his children

Katherine Jackson will receive more than $1million (£606,000) a year from her late son Michael's estate.

The money has been allocated to allow the 79-year-old to care for the Thriller star's three children.

Katherine will get payments of $26,804 a month and $60,000 for Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7.

The amount was approved by an LA judge in August, but until now the details had remained private.

Another court hearing is scheduled for next month, for a progress report on how the children are coping with Michael's death.
