Rik Waller to judge plus size singing contest

Former Pop Idol star excited about show

Rik Waller appeared on Pop Idol

Rik Waller has landed a job as a judge on a new show for plus sized singers.

Only performers over a size 18 will be allowed to audition for The XL Factor.

‘This will give people a chance to perform without their looks being taken into account,' says Rik, 28.

Rik, who reportedly weighs 30 stone, will help find a four-piece girl band.

‘Shows like The X Factor and Pop Idol are great,' creator Linda Koch tells the Daily Star.

‘But it always seems that bigger people are there as the token fat person.'
