Actress will now focus on Strictly Come Dancing

Ali Bastian has been in The Bill for 2 years

Ali Bastian has quit The Bill.

The actress, who plays PC Sally Armstrong, filmed her final scenes last week and now plans to focus on her Strictly Come Dancing training.

‘The decision was already made but the timing has been perfect,' Ali, 26, tells the Mail On Sunday.

‘I had my last scenes in The Bill [last week] and it's been hard to say goodbye to everyone because I've had such a good time. But I'm so excited about Strictly.'

Ali's character will be on screen until later this year. 

Strictly Come Dancing kicked off on Friday at 8.30pm on BBC One.
