Kanye West has contacted Taylor Swift to say sorry for ruining her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
The rapper has been criticised for running up on stage and declaring that Beyoncé Knowles, 28, was more worthy of the Best Female Video prize.
But now he's made up with Taylor, 19, for the gaffe at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
‘Kanye did call me, and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology,' she told ABC News Radio yesterday.
The previous night, Kanye, 32, looked close to tears as he reflected on his actions during The Jay Leno Show.
‘I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt - and I don't try to justify it because I was just in the wrong,' he said.
‘I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve.
'Because I am a celebrity, and that's something I have to deal with.'
Meanwhile, a recording of US President Barack Obama calling Kanye a 'jackass' over the controversy has been leaked online.
