Desperate Housewives star Kathryn Joosten isn't giving up

Desperate Housewives star Kathryn Joosten has been diagnosed with lung cancer for the 2nd time.

The actress, 69, who plays Karen McClusky, was given the news by doctors on Wednesday and is now having tests.

‘I'm not the type of personality to take this lying down, and I'm not accepting it,’ she tells E! Online.

Kathryn, a smoker for 40 years, first battled the disease in 2001 and was given the all-clear after having surgery.

It is thought Desperate Housewives producers are planning to write around her treatment.
