Is it all over for Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton?

Formula 1 star reported to have split from Pussycat Doll

Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger were exepected to marry

It looks as if Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton's romance with 31-year-old Nicole Scherzinger could be over.

The couple, who started dating in November 2007, were thought to be about to get engaged but at 24, an unconfirmed report claims that Lewis doesn't feel ready to make that commitment.

'Lewis was feeling under pressure to take their union to the next level,' a source tells the Sunday Mirror.

'He’s young, they spend an awful lot of time apart and he’s just not ready to leave his youth behind.

'He found the tribulations of having a long-distance relationship very challenging indeed.'

Pussycat Doll Nicole will no doubt be devasted if the rumour is true.

‘Would I get married?’ she said earlier this year. 'For sure and, yeah, the Dolls can be the bridesmaids. But I have to get engaged first.

‘Marriage is a seal of love. On my solo album I have sung about how much I love that and what the whole process would mean to me. Who needs a reason to seal their love?’

UPDATE Monday 14 September: A spokesman for McLaren, Lewis's racing team, says the couple are still very much together.
