Mel C is to become the first Spice Girl to take to the stage in a West End production.

The singer, 35, is to star in the musical Blood Brothers.

She will replace X Factor contestant Nikki Evans in the role of Mrs Johnstone.

Mel’s first performance will be on 26 October at London’s Phoenix Theatre.
