Singer has to wait for court ruling
Thursday, 10 September 2009
Chris Brown may not be able to perform at the Michael Jackson memorial concert in Vienna – because of legal issues.
The singer must complete 6 months of community service after pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna, 21, before the Grammys in February.
Chris, 20, who is due to headline the 26 September gig, is now waiting for a US judge to give him permission to break his strict probation terms.
‘His position is if the court allows him to leave the country, then he will play,’ Jermain Jackson, who is organising the concert, explained at a press conference yesterday.
‘He has already chosen the songs he wants to sing – Man In The Mirror or Thriller.’
A rep for Chris adds: ‘He is not confirmed to perform at this event.’
