Charlotte Church's wedding woes

The star wants Gavin Henson to propose, but he's clinging to his freedom

Simmering differences about marriage are causing friction in Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson’s relationship.

Both Gavin and Charlotte have publicly declared that getting hitched isn’t a priority, but although the 23-year-old mum of two has been patient with Gavin, 27, she’s desperate for him to pop the question and even calls him her ‘hubby’.

But the Welsh rugby star has told pals he has no intention of getting married and Charlotte’s anxiety over their future has led to tension and rows at home.

A source close to Gavin says: ‘Charl’s desperate to get a wedding ring on her finger, but Gavin believes that once that happens his freedom’s gone 
– the idea of getting married really scares him.’

Even so, Charlotte’s determined for him to take on a more fatherly role.

‘It’s Charlotte who really wants a bigger family,’ says a pal of Gavin. ‘She’s the driving force behind it. Gavin’s a bit more reluctant, although he’s prepared to go along with it if it makes her happy.’
