Girls Aloud star strikes out on her own

Cheryl Cole is exploring her potential career as a solo singer

Cheryl Cole debuted her new single on Radio 1 yesterday.

The Girls Aloud star, 26, gave Chris Moyles’ listeners the exclusive first play of Fight For This Love.

The track has an up-tempo electro sound to it.

Fight For This Love is out on 19 October and Cheryl has been tipped to perform it on The X Factor live shows.

Her album Three Words – which she’s worked on with Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am - follows on 26 October.
