Jack Tweed held over sex assault claim

Jade Goody's widower arrested this morning

Jack Tweed married Jade Goody a month before she died of cancer in March

Jack Tweed is being held by police investigating an allegation of sexual assault.

Jade Goody's widower, 22, was arrested at 9am this morning.

A second man, in his 20s, is also being questioned.

'A female in her late teens has made an allegation of sexual assault,' says a police spokesman.

'The alleged incident occurred in the Redbridge area in the early hours of this morning.

'Two men in their 20s have been arrested in connection with inquiry and remain in custody at an east London police station.'

Jack's spokesman Mark Thomas has declined to comment on the arrest.

But he confirms a lawyer has been hired to represent the 22-year-old.
