Boy George was released from jail in May after serving four months of his 15-month sentence

Boy George has had his electronic tag taken off.

The Culture Club star was ordered to wear the device on his ankle after he was released from Edmunds Hill Prison in May.

‘In the words of John Inman, “I'm free!”’ he wrote on Twitter, alongside a snap of his foot.

Boy George, 48, real name George O’Dowd, was jailed for 15 months for assault and false imprisonment of a rent boy in January.

His curfew has also been lifted.
