John Travolta's wife Kelly Preston has pulled out of addressing a conference about the death of their 16-year-old son Jett because she's still in mourning.
The teenager - who had Kawasaki Syndrome - died on 2 January after having a seizure at the family’s holiday home in the Bahamas.
Kelly, 46, was due to speak about her loss on the Grief & Resilience panel at the California Governor’s Conference For Women in October.
‘It is with my sincere apologies that I must pull out from speaking at the conference,’ reads a statement to People.
‘I am sorry, but I truly believed that I could do it. Otherwise I never would have said that I could. But I am still deeply in the process of healing, and it's just too soon.’
The conference runs from 26-27 October in Long Beach.
