Natalie Cassidy sees John Burns as a second dad, brother and friend rolled into one

Natalie Cassidy was stunned by claims she romanced Wendy Richard’s husband following the star's death.

The 26-year-old moved in with widower John Burns, 45, when the EastEnders actress passed away in February.

‘It was absolutely disgusting that people had been suggesting that we’d been having an affair,’ she tells The Mail On Sunday.

'Wendy was like a mother to me after my own mum died when I was 19. John is like a second dad, brother and friend all in one great package.

'Of all the lies circulated about me over the years, this was the most hurtful.’

Natalie has also been linked to her Strictly Come Dancing partner Vincent Simone.

‘Vincent is very flirty but I have told him I have a serious boyfriend,’ she tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘Nothing is going
on.’
