Chris Brown regrets his actions

Chris Brown has been supported by his family throughout his court ordeal.

The hunk, 20, was found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 21, and sentenced to five years' probation.

But his mum Joyce Hawkins has stood by him.

‘I made a promise. I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to,’ she writes on his fansite.

‘I want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for your continued support.

'I can now say this has been the most painful moment in my entire life, but knowing that you were still standing by Chris' side in his time of need made this a little easier for us.’

Chris will also complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counselling and 180 days of community labour.
