Jay-Z: Chris Martin’s kids call me Uncle Jay

Rapper and Coldplay frontman are close

Jay-Z and Chris Martin met six years ago

Jay-Z loves hanging out with Coldplay singer Chris Martin and his family.

The rapper, 39, thinks his children Apple, 5, and Moses, 3, are great.

'I love Chris’ wife [Gwyneth Paltrow]’ he admits. ‘And his kids call me “Uncle Jay”, and I really appreciate that.’

Jay-Z met Chris at a charity event in 2003, and they immediately bonded.

‘We clicked right away and it was like we were instant best friends,’ Jay-Z tells the Sunday Times magazine.

‘He is a fantastic person, very passionate about what he does, and also very analytical and intelligent.’

Jay-Z will support Coldplay when their UK tour kicks off next month.
