Carly Zucker: I’m not giving up work just because I’m married

Carly Zucker wants to earn her own money

Carly Zucker is not quitting her day job.

Earlier this year, the fitness trainer was reported to have told Hello! that she didn’t need to work because footballer husband Joe Cole earns £85,000 a week.

‘I am offered projects all the time but I don’t feel I need to prove anything, or that I need a career to feel good about myself,’ Carly was quoted as saying. 

‘I tried it with the personal training as well as running the house, and it just made me stressed and unhappy. It wasn’t good for me and it wasn’t good for Joe and his football.’

But now Carly, 25, has set the record straight.

‘What I said got twisted,’ she tells theDaily Mirror. ‘I love what I do and I’m not going to give it up because I’m married...

‘I'd like to be able to buy Joe's Christmas presents from money I've earned, rather than with his stash!'
