Kelly Osbourne: I was taking 50 Vicodin pills a day

Rock chick struggled to deal with mum Sharon's cancer ordeal

Kelly Osbourne used to rely on drugs to give her confidence.

The reality star, who checked into rehab in January, got hooked on prescription painkiller Vicodin when she was 16.

Things got worse when Kelly's mum Sharon was diagnosed with cancer in 2002.

‘At this point, I was waking up and emptying six Vicodin into my hand,’ she reveals. ‘Soon I was taking 50 pills a day. Most people would overdose on 10.' 

After several failed stints in rehab, Kelly, 24, met her fiancé Luke Worrall, 20, and managed to turn her life around.

'For the first time, I felt hopeful,' she writes in new autobiography Fierce. 'I knew I’d been given a chance at my life, at my career – at happiness. I wanted to grab it.’
