Chris Brown sentenced for Rihanna assault

Hip hop star must do 180 days of hard labour

Chris Brown was also fined $2,500

Chris Brown has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards from ex-girlfriend Rihanna for the next five years.

The hip hop star was sentenced at an LA court yesterday after pleading guilty in June to assaulting the Umbrella singer before the Grammys.

He must also carry out to 180 days' physical community labour in Virginia, which will include clearing rubbish and washing cars.

Chris remains on probation for the next five years and must attend a 52-week domestic violence counselling programme.
 
He'll reappear in court on 19 November for a progress report.
