Cheryl Cole: I'll be tougher on The X Factor this year

Cheryl is sure that her act will win again

Cheryl Cole feels she's got more empathy than the other judges

Watch out, Simon, Dannii and Louis – Cheryl’s back and she's determined to retain her X Factor crown. She took the show by storm in 2008, mentoring the winner Alexandra Burke and even managing to get Simon hot under the collar!

This year the Girls Aloud star, 26, is confident she can win again.

'I think I’m at a slight advantage to the other judges because I’ve been through the process,' Cheryl, 26,  

'I can be more considerate at times. I understand how the contestants feel, especially when they’re singing in front of us and an audience of more than 2,000.'

And Cheryl reckons she's going to be a lot harder with her comments and decisions.

'I feel like I’m more experienced as a judge – and at saying no! I struggled at first last year in saying no to people, but I think I may have been giving false
hope.

'This year, I’m more able to say no to people who don’t have what we’re looking for and I don’t feel as bad.'
