Former jailbird thinks they have a future
Monday, 17 August 2009
Blake Fielder-Civil wants to salvage his relationship with Amy Winehouse.
The former jailbird, 27, filed for divorce earlier this year on the grounds of her adultery.
But he says Amy phoned him last week, begging him to take her back.
‘I love her as much as ever,’ Blake admits. ‘I know she loves me, even though we’re getting divorced.
‘I want to take her out for dinner again and propose to her.
'I hope that within five minutes we’ll be planning where we're next going to get married.’
Blake, who is currently in rehab in Sheffield, thinks they needed to be apart to get off drugs.
‘I did something wrong and went to prison. I got clean,’ he tells the News Of The World.
‘Amy flew off somewhere hot and got clean. It was meant to be that way.
'We were pushing each other to the extreme with our drug-taking and it could never have carried on that way.’
Amy, 25, and Blake’s divorce is due to be finalised on 28 August.
