Katie Price claims Pete had no drive, but her new man has her under a spell

Jordan denied she was dating Alex Reid at first

Jordan is desperate to show Peter Andre that she’s completely over their relationship and has never been happier.

Last Tuesday, she was pictured cavorting with her new love Alex Reid while on a three-day holiday in Marbella, Spain.

The 31-year-old allowed herself to be pictured topless and enjoying a naked massage on her bedroom balcony while Alex, 34, felt her bottom. This was no accident, but a clear message to her ex Peter Andre.

‘This will be like a dagger in the heart to Pete, who can’t even bear to read the papers every day,’ a source tells Now.

‘But he’s the one who drove her to this because he upped and left. She just wants to show the world that she’s having fun – and who can blame her?’

Jordan even went on Twitter to defend her actions, saying: ‘Whilst Pete has the children I don’t always want to be sat at home on my own… I’m only human! I’m away with friends relaxing while Pete was due to have the children this week. It seems whatever I do is wrong!’

But beneath Jordan’s happy-go-lucky front lies a vulnerable single mother of three who – to their horror – friends fear is being controlled and manipulated by Alex. So much so that Jordan only feels safe in his presence and he’s now in total control of her security.

Our source says: ‘He’s got her in his web. She’s never felt more exposed after making the mistake of going to Ibiza without any of her management or bodyguards. That terrified her – especially when she was mobbed by drunks who started slagging her off.’

Her PR explains: ‘He [Alex] makes Katie feel secure, he’s a trained cage fighter and acts as extra security for her. She said she wants him there to keep her safe.’

However, Alex has a dark side. Two of his ex-girlfriends have spoken out recently to warn Jordan that he’s a sex animal who’s only after her money.

Marie Thornett, 29, says he cheated on her with Jordan, even though she and Alex were due to tie the knot and had even entered a GMTV competition to win a dream wedding. Just days after Alex started dating Jordan, he bragged on his Facebook page: ‘Alex Reid has struck gold.’

Our source reveals: ‘Katie says she doesn’t know where she’d be without him. She can’t bear to be apart from him, but we’re not sure of his motives.'

On 2 August Jordan officially introduced Alex to her closest friends for the first time at her stylist Gary Cockerill and his partner Phil Turner’s renewal of their wedding vows. She’s wasted no time in making him a part of the family.

‘Pete’s furious that Alex is around all the time and now there’s even talk of him moving in, which will horrify Pete,’ says our source. ‘That would mean Alex being around his children 24/7. Could there be anything more annoying for Pete?’
