Celebrity make-up artist Cassie Lomas gives her top tips

To stay looking cool when things are hotting up, make-up artist Cassie Lomas - who works with Lady GaGa - suggests you skip heavy shadow: ‘Play up eyes instead with a bold and playful kohl liner.’

On tanned skin, opt for a cheek stain rather than bronzer, which can make your complexion look muddy; and go for gloss instead of lipstick.

Keep-cool regime:

Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral Breathable Foundation in Nude, £9.99, boots.com, gives a flawless base with SPF15.

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eye Pencil in Blue Remix, £4.20, call 0845 609 0055. 'It really accentuates the whites of the eyes,' says Cassie.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Cheek Tint, £15.66, bobbibrown.co.uk, has a lightweight blendable formula.

Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF15 in Bamboo Pink, £13, clinique.co.uk, is a suits-all shade that shields the sensitive lip area from UV damage.
