Bride Wars star beats Britain's Keira Knightley
Friday, 7 August 2009
Anne Hathaway is the Best Young Actress under 30, according to a new list.
The Bride Wars star, 26, pipped last year’s winner Keira Knightley, 24, in the LOVEFiLM.com poll.
'This star is seriously on the rise,' says the site’s editor Helen Cowley.
'She has clawed her way to the top of this chart after winning an Oscar nomination for her role in Rachel Getting Married.
‘Keira definitely needs to pull her cinematic socks up if she wants to regain the top spot in 2010.'
Heath Ledger's ex Michelle Williams, 28, gained third place after critically-lauded roles in Synecdoche New York and Wendy And Lucy.
Emily Blunt, 26, and Natalie Portman, 28, round off the top five.

Has anyone seen Bride Wars? Anne and Kate were both terrible in that movie! See, Anne does one serious movie and the critics fall over themselves to applaud her, because they need fresh American talent, but Keira has been doing these kinds of movies for years and given great performance after great performance. To me, Keira is still top talented actress, Anne still has to show that she deserves this title.
