Ashley Olsen: I’m surprised I didn’t end up like Britney Spears

Ashley Olsen was a child star

Ashley Olsen is proud she’s managed to stay grounded despite over 20 years in the limelight.

The fashionista started her career at the age of 9 months on the TV series Full House.

‘It was almost like I was in the army,' Ashley, now 23, tells Marie Claire.

'School, work, homework, fly to New York, get in at 2 in the morning, do a show at 5am, then another one at 7, then a radio interview at 10.

‘That’s why I look at Britney Spears, and I’m surprised I didn’t end up like her.’

Britney also started out as a child star when she appeared on The New Mickey Mouse Club aged 11.

But she went on to have a public meltdown - in 2007 she shaved her head and then lost custody of her 2 kids the following year.
