Derek Martin has had a career in showbiz spanning 40 years

EastEnders actor Derek Martin once appeared in an X-rated movie.

The star, who plays cabbie Charlie Slater, took a minor role in Diversions in the 1970s.

‘The film was shot many years ago when I was still trying to get my big break in the industry,’ Derek, 76, tells The Sun.

‘Luckily, looking back I was never involved in the action scenes, so to speak.

‘But it was definitely an experience that helped me to further my career in showbiz.’
