Actor doesn't like to show his vulnerable side
Wednesday, 5 August 2009
Gerard Butler admits he's definitely afraid of settling down.
The actor, who has recently been linked to Jennifer Aniston, finds love a scary prospect.
‘Men are much more weak and vulnerable than they let on,’ he reveals. ‘I am full of fear, full of phobias about commitment.’
But Gerard admits he does like falling for someone.
‘It’s amazing to be overpowered and overawed by somebody and to feel that excitement come over you,’ he tells OK!
‘But it’s tough to deal with that vulnerability because I still have that element of “I can’t do this! I can do this on my own! I’m all right!” – and then suddenly, somebody holds this power over you.’
Gerard, 39, and Jennifer, 40, star opposite each other in new movie The Bounty.

Sounds like whoever broke his heart back in 2003 really did a number on him. He probably had a few other times like he had it broken again like in 2006. I've had my heart broken too and it's hard to give somebody else a chance even if you fall for somebody. Probably why he has become such the player. He's getting even with women who remind him of the one who broke his heart.
