Columbia Pictures said to have bought the rights

Michael Jackson was due to perform at London's O2 arena this summer

Footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing for his tour could be made into a film.

Video clips of the singer performing at the Staples Center in LA were released by promoters AEG Live in July.

And now Columbia Pictures has apparently paid $60million for rights to the material.

According to court papers obtained by TMZ, the Jackson estate will get 90 per cent of the profits and AEG will get 10 per cent.
