Actor lands lead role in big screen musical

Hugh Jackman has signed up to appear in a new musical biopic about legendary entertainer PT Barnum.
The Greatest Showman On Earth will trace PT's circus achievements and his colourful love life.
Anne Hathaway, 26, is to play the female lead Jenny Lind, reports Variety.
The musical will also feature contemporary songs by Mika.
The Greatest Showman On Earth is due for release in 2012.
