Singer’s mum Monica Fenty says she's devastated

Rihanna and Chris Brown never officially confirmed they were an item

Rihanna is still in love with Chris Brown, according to her mum.

The Umbrella singer apparently met up with her ex at a hotel in New York last Friday.

'I'm devastated, but what can I do?’ says Monica Fenty. ‘Rihanna is her own woman with her own mind and very, very independent.

'We love her but can't stand to see her play Russian roulette with her life.’

Monica reckons Rihanna, 21, has forgiven him for attacking her in February.

‘Chris has a bizarre power over her,’ she tells Star. ‘She still loves him and he knows it. In her eyes he’s a god.

'Even after all this time, and even after what he did, it’s not diminished, no way.’

Chris, 20, pleaded guilty to assault on 22 June and was told not to go within 50 yards of Rihanna.
