Comedian to play dog trainer in Marmaduke

David Walliams can't wait to start shooting Marmaduke

ComedianDavid Walliams has landed the lead role in a movie about a Great Dane.

The Little Britain star will play dog trainer Anton in family flick Marmaduke.

‘I’m absolutely thrilled,’ David, 37, tells the News Of The World. ‘The script is hilarious – I shoot it over the summer.’

It’s thought makers 20th Century Fox are already planning a sequel.

Blackadder star Hugh Laurie appeared in Hollywood movie Stuart Little - before landing the leading role in US hit medical TV series House.
