Mitch Winehouse: I’m glad Amy didn’t have kids with Blake

Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch is relieved she never started a family with Blake Fielder-Civil.

The couple, who were granted a divorce earlier this month, did want a baby together.

‘She was desperate to have children with Blake and she told me they were trying to have a child but they couldn’t,’ he says. ‘Thank God!

Mitch, 59, says Amy, 25, is still keen on the idea of motherhood.

‘Nine months ago she wasn’t coherent,’ he tells the Daily Mirror.

‘But now she doesn’t binge on chocolate like she used to. She’s no longer bulimic. She’s healthy.

‘Now her body is in full working order again she’d love to be a mum.’
