Jordan: Peter Andre was the love of my life

‘It’s a shame because it was a fairytale and he was the love of my life,' she tells Now in an exclusive interview. 'The kids don’t really understand what’s going on.'

The mum of three is putting on a brave face but friends and family are becoming increasingly concerned about her fragile state of mind.

Last week Jordan went on ITV1’s Loose Women and declared that she’d ‘never been happier’, but privately her pain is causing great worry for those closest to her – including mum Amy and best friend Michelle Heaton.

Jordan, 31, broke down when her mum tried to tell her that her behaviour had become unacceptable after hearing about her antics at Michelle’s 30th birthday party.

Friends say that Jordan was ‘so drunk, she was rambling incoherently and was falling on the floor muttering to herself.’ Amy, concerned that her daughter’s life is turning into a car crash, tried to warn her – to no avail.

A source says: ‘She flew into a rage like a woman possessed, saying: “I’m f***ing Jordan – I can do what I want. No one can tell me what to do.” The kids were horrified to see their mummy so upset. She then went upstairs and no one saw her for hours.’

Now can reveal that over the last year friends and family have feared for the ex-glamour model’s welfare. 

‘When she was in Florida last August, she locked herself in her room one day and wouldn’t come out to anyone, not even Pete or her management,' says our source. 'No one knew what was wrong – she said she just couldn’t cope with all the people round her.'

Jordan’s had to deal with more than most in the last decade. After splitting from Another Level singer Dane Bowers in 2000, she took an overdose of prescription drugs, which left her hospitalised.

‘I’ve been really hurt in the past,’ she told us last week. ‘Especially when I split up with Dane. It took me two years to get over him. I had the overdose and I always said I would never let a guy do that to me again.’

While she was struggling with postnatal depression after giving birth to Junior in 2005, she also had suicidal thoughts that became so strong that she binged on drugs and contemplated driving into a wall. She later checked into The Priory.
