Cheryl Cole's snub to Ashley

Only a few miles separated them in LA last week, but Cheryl was far too busy to see her own husband

While Ashley Cole was in Pasadena, California, last week, playing for Chelsea, his wife was holed up less than 10 miles away at West Hollywood’s London Hotel.

But Cheryl’s been so occupied with her LA dream that she has no time for her husband. Our insider, who’s been following her every move since she landed Stateside, hasn’t seen the couple together at all.

Last week, we reported on Cheryl’s first week in the US and the great reception she received from hundreds of fans. Now our source says she’s been immersed in the studio every day – apart from one wild night out.

‘All she’s been doing is working,’ our source reveals. ‘She works night and day.

Sometimes she’ll leave for the studio at 8.30pm and stay there all hours. She keeps switching locations, too. At first she was in Hollywood, then it was Santa Monica.’

It was only on 17 July that Cheryl allowed herself a big blowout. The 26-year-old had a facialist sent to her room for a luxury manicure and a few hours later enjoyed a massage. Then she headed out to cool hot spot Chateau Marmont with two guys and a girl.

‘They hung out on the outside patio drinking wine,’ says our source. ‘They stayed until late.'

After leaving the club, the group, now totalling over 10 people, headed to a house party in the Hollywood Hills. Cheryl didn’t get back to her hotel until 5am..

‘Cheryl’s very much wedded to her career at the moment,' says our source, 'but this can’t and won’t go on for ever.

'She’ll only get a chance like this once in her lifetime and she has to strike while the iron’s hot.’
