Kate Thornton to host Loose Women

TV star will replace presenter Jackie Brambles

Kate Thornton was replaced by Dermot O'Leary on The X Factor in 2007

Kate Thornton has been unveiled as the new host of Loose Women.

The former X Factor star will take over presenting duties from Jackie Brambles.

‘I am delighted to be joining one of the best teams on TV,’ says Kate.

‘I can’t wait to get started as the show heads into its tenth year.’

Kate, 36, will make her debut when the ITV show returns in September.

‘I’m thrilled to bits that Kate is joining the line-up,’ Daytime Controller Fiona Keenaghan tells The Sun. ‘I know she is going to fit in brilliantly.’
