Blake Fielder-Civil: Amy almost died in my arms

Former jailbird says he was terrified for ex-wife

Blake Fielder-Civil and Amy Winehouse were granted a divorce earlier this month

Blake Fielder-Civil claims he gave Amy Winehouse mouth-to-mouth when she collapsed after a drugs binge.

The former jailbird says he was convinced his ex-wife was slipping away during the alleged incident in August 2007. 

‘We’d been taking a lot of heroin and crack and it had just been too much,’ says Blake, 27.

‘Her eyes suddenly went blank. She started having a fit on the bed.

‘I knelt over her as she kept on fitting. But then suddenly she just passed out and stopped breathing.

‘I held her to me – and I thought she was dying in my arms.

'But somehow I managed to open her mouth and breath air down her throat.’

Blake reckons he begged Amy to give up drugs.

‘I couldn’t bear for her to die in front of me,’ he tells The Sun. ‘She had everything going for her.

‘But she ended up behaving badly just to shock. After a while that just becomes a bore. I’d warned her to stop.’
