Rupert Everett: I'd like to make a documentary about Jesus

Actor has a keen interest in history

Rupert Everett hated history at school

Rupert Everett is hoping to shoot a film charting the life of Jesus.

But the openly gay actor doesn’t think the project will get off the ground.

‘I'd like to make a documentary about Jesus, though I'm not sure who would let me!’ he says.

Rupert's series The Scandalous Aventures Of Lord Byron starts on Monday at 9.00pm on C4 and he admits he enjoys delving into the past.

‘I hated history at school but I love it now,’ he tells the Daily Mirror. ‘I would love to go back to school and study it.’
