The nominees for this year’s Mercury Prize have been revealed – and Lily Allen's been left off the list.
The singer was tipped to receive a nod for her second album It’s Not Me, It’s You.
‘I’m like Gazza - the judges hate me, but the people, dem love me,’ she writes on Twitter.
Among the contenders for the prize are La Roux, Bat For Lashes, The Horrors and Friendly Fires.
Bands Kasabian and Florence And The Machine are joint favourites to scoop the accolade.
‘I like making music but it's really nice to get the recognition,’ Kasabian's Tom Meighan tells the BBC. ‘I think it's deserved, why not, eh?’
The winners will walk away with a £20,000 cheque.
The ceremony takes place on 8 September in London.
