Actress says morphine was 'like a warm bath'

Jamie Lee Curtis has discussed her battle with pain medication in the wake of Michael Jackson's death.

The actress talked about her former dependency in her blog.

‘I found painkillers after a routine cosmetic surgical procedure and I became addicted,’ says Jamie.

‘The morphine becomes the warm bath from which to escape painful reality.'

Jamie, 50, feels lucky to have overcome her problems.

‘My recovery from drug addiction is the single greatest accomplishment of my life,’ she writes in The Huffington Post.

‘But it takes work — hard, painful work — but the help is there.’
