Russell Brand will present the MTV Video Music Awards for a second time in September.
The comedian controversially mocked the Jonas Brothers and poked fun at former US president George W Bush last year.
But Russell proved popular with show bosses who’ve invited him back.
‘We are thrilled that despite numerous death threats from Jonas Brothers fans, Russell Brand has accepted our offer to put his life on the line and host the VMAs again this year,’ says MTV's General Manager Stephen Friedman.
Russ, 33, is excited about hosting the event for the second year in a row.
‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to take over NYC,’ he tells The Sun. ‘This is the perfect opportunity for the United Kingdom to regain control of out former colony.’
Taylor Swift and Muse are expected to perform at the ceremony.
The MTV Video Music Awards take place on 13 September in New York.
