Within the space of a week, Jordan has gone from being labelled the ‘worst mum in Britain’ to the most sympathised with.

In an emotional interview with Piers Morgan, shown last Saturday, she broke her silence about why her three-year marriage to Peter Andre, 36, failed.

Jordan, 31, is determined to shatter the ‘perfect Pete’ myth.

Livid that he’s portraying himself as a loving dad, she’s told a trusted friend: ‘He wanted a submissive housewife with no voice. He couldn’t handle me being a celebrity. It’s me who’s left holding the babies – he didn’t try to save our marriage.

‘I nursed him through two breakdowns, but when I needed counselling after postnatal depression, was he there? No, he was in his beloved studio.

'He spent all his time there, even when he was meant to be looking after the kids. Yes, I was away a lot working, but he wasn’t looking after the kids – nannies did that. Then I’d look after them when I came home. All that time he’d be in his studio.

‘People think Pete’s supportive, but he just switches it on for the cameras.'
