James Morrison worked as a postman and a van cleaner before hitting the big time

James Morrison claims Madonna snubbed him when they met.

The singer, 24, was introduced to the star backstage at a gig.

'This guy was like, "Madonna's here, do you wanna say hello?" I was like, "Well I'm not a huge fan, I wouldn't know what to say." I was really nervous,' James told This Morning.

'I just said "hello, pleased to meet you" and she just looked at my hand and said "what do you do?" and I just felt really awkward and thought, "Ahh, I've been snubbed by Madonna!"... I did think it was a bit rude but you get over it.'

Madonna is currently in Europe on her Sticky And Sweet tour.
